My Diagnosis Story

A year and a half ago I noticed a sudden change in my vision in my right eye. I went to my optometrist who thought I might have a detached retina.

I saw an ophthalmologist two days later who diagnosed me with wet AMD in my right eye and dry in my left. Within a few months, I also had it in my left eye. My vision went from 20/25 left 20/30 right before my diagnosis to legally blind in a space of a year.

I receive monthly injections in both eyes and it has stabilized them. Before my diagnosis, I had never heard of wet AMD.
