Looking for Recommendations

I've had dry AMD for 6 years and one eye is significantly more affected than the other...but thank goodness for the good eye!

Needing more light

I do a lot of reading, drawing, and painting and have found that no matter how good the light source, either lamps or windows, I need more. Then I discovered an old tactical headlamp in our 'things I might need someday and won't throw out' stash and found that it works great, from the light standpoint. But the rechargeable batteries have been a problem with their fit into both the charging unit and the headlamp itself. It wraps around the head and also over the head.

I need to find a new one and was wondering if anyone has used one that is both bright AND comfortable? I look forward to hearing about your experiences :).
