Medications Causing MD
I was on Plaquenil for quite a few years and had my eyes tested annually. My rheumatologist and ophthalmologist were supposed to stop the medications if any problems started. Neither did.
The retina specialist stopped Plaquenil and said I had damage from the medications and the beginnings of macular degeneration.
I no longer drive at night.
I need more light for everything.
I still have central vision.
Small changes in depth perception.
Vision correction with glasses.
So I’m trying to learn about MD and what happens next…
