Injections

I’ve been attending Moorfields for injections for 5 years and none of the stories mentioned so far have any connection with my experience. Anesthetic drops are used just before the injection. Only now and again is there any pain at all.

The vision from the affected eye takes about an hour to recover. You leave with some solution you can use in case you have any irritation later during the evening. I have injections every 6 weeks. It’s not a pleasant experience but not painful as such.

I just lay there imagining I’m on a nice sunny beach in France. It works for me.
