Injection Problems

I have had wet AMD in both eyes for 19 years and have injections every two months, in spite of that they have deteriorated over the years with scarring and I am now registered severely sight impaired.

However there are some wonderful aids out there now. Electronic magnifiers and the iPad and talking books and as I now get attendance allowance which helps to pay for these extra aids.

My question is that although the injection is not painful sometimes when the numbing drops have worn off for a few hours my eye is so painful.

Painkillers don’t touch it and I I just have to lie down and wait for it to pass. Sometimes I have no pain at all and my consultant says it may be because a nerve was touched. Anyone else have this problem?
