Adapting to AMD
I am 67 years old, retired 4 years ago, diagnosed 5 years ago with MD. I stopped driving 2 years ago after getting lost after dark in a place I didn't know. Loss of independence has been the worst. I love to read but now have to listen to audiobooks which is my second biggest loss.
And then not being able to do my crafts. I have lots of strong flashlights and magnifiers all over my house (sometimes they help, sometimes not so much). I use lots of bump dots and have learned new ways to cook. Days are spent on PC using magnifier to shop, bank, & entertainment.
